Do you sell live bait?
No, we carry frozen and artificial bait.
We stock frozen shrimp, squid, finger mullet, sand fleas and clams.
Occasionally we have live worms
Can we launch our own kayaks/paddleboards at NGO?
The NGO launch is open for recreational use February 10- November 10. There is a $6 launch fee that can be paid inside the shop during business hours.
Is there a tide?
No, Guana Lake/ Lake Ponte Vedra is not tidal. The water level is controlled by FWC.
Is Guana salt water?
Guana lake is brackish water. The further north you go, the more fresh it gets.
Do you have beach parking?
Yes, we have beach parking for $10. There is a sidewalk across the street that you can take a short walk to Mickler's Landing Beach access.
How far is the South Outpost?
Our South Outpost is 10.2 miles south down A1A.
What is your return policy?
All stand up paddleboard, kayak, sale rack and swimwear sales are final.
Other items may be exchanged or returned within 14 days in new condition with tags and receipt.
Rentals
Do I need to make a reservation?
Reservations are recommended and will take precedence over walk-ins.
What should I wear?
For kayaking, you will want to wear comfortable, sun protective clothing and shoes that can get wet. Hat, sunglasses and sunscreen are recommended.
For stand up paddleboarding, swimwear or athletic wear that can get wet is recommend. Shoes are optional but if you are paddling in waterways where there are oysters, it is best to protect your feet.
Do you deliver?
We deliver equipment to other launch points in Ponte Vedra Beach with a reservation. Please call the shop and ask for a manager to make a reservation if delivery is needed.
Popular launch points include 6 Mile Landing, Nocatee Landing, Nocatee Kayak Launch and Mickler's Landing Beach.
We can also deliver and pick up for multi day rentals.

Can we take rental equipment somewhere else?
Yes. If you wish to transport the equipment yourself, we will take a copy of a valid driver's license and have a credit card number on file.
You will need to bring your own racks/tie down straps. Rack pads and straps are available for purchase.
How can I check the tides?
For tides in NE FL we use US Harbors website.
For surf conditions/tides at the beach, you can check Crossroads Surf Report on Surfline
Are there alligators in Guana?
Like most waterways in Florida, there are alligators. As with any excursion in nature, be aware of your surroundings, do not feed the wildlife and keep your distance. We have never had an issue with alligators in Guana.
Guided Tours
Where do I meet my guide?
Please check your confirmation email for the address and directions to the launch location. If you did not receive an email, please call North Guana Outpost at 904-373-0306.

What should I bring with me on the tour?
Please bring bottled water, hat and sunscreen.
A towel and/or change of clothes for after the tour is a good idea because your seat will likely get wet on the tour.
Tips are not expected but always appreciated. Guides accept cash or venmo.
Guana Outpost South
Can we launch our own kayaks/paddleboards at Guana Outpost South?
Yes. The South Outpost is located at the GTM Research Reserve. Persons accessing, parking or launching boats at the Guana Dam are required to pay a $3 access fee to the Department of Environmental Protection. Make sure you bring exact change.
