Fishing Guide & Eco Tour Guide
Born and raised along the coast of Jacksonville Captain Matt is a Florida Boy to his core. As a child “Chip” explored the marshes, intracoastal waterways and beaches of St. Augustine and Jacksonville. He gained a unique understanding of aquatic systems and the opportunities available for sport fishing in North Florida. He taught himself how to fish, how to surf and developed into a lifetime waterman and angler.
After earning a degree in marine/ environmental science at Eckerd College, Matt broadened his skill and knowledge of saltwater angling. He learned how to sight fish, how to stalk fish in the shallows, how to pole a flat and how to saltwater fly fish. Captain Matt returned to the First Coast and applied his experiences to the local fishery. He began competing in kayak fishing tournaments on his stand up paddle board and won the Jacksonville Kayak Classic, beating 300 anglers and breaking two records in the process. After cementing himself as an elite angler he began guiding paddle charters, purchased a flats boat and earned his captain’s license.
Captain Matt now specializes in shallow water fly fishing/light tackle poling charters with an emphasis on targeting trophy trout and flood tide redfish. He is a patient, determined, passionate captain with an outgoing disposition. This allows him to guide anyone from novice children to veteran record hunters. He understands the science behind the sport and routinely educates his clients about the biology of fish and the intricacies of the marine environment.

Captain Brandon Ingalls is a North East Florida native. He grew up fishing our local waters as well as exploring most of the fisheries Florida has to offer. In his time at Florida State University, you were more likely to find him fishing the “forgotten coast” on his paddleboard than in the library. Since then his fishing and spearfishing addiction has only continued to grow. After graduating he knew his future office could only be one place..the water. So, he began commercial fishing on his 20ft Pathfinder. He can often be found at the ledge bottom fishing with his Ipilot spot locked. Most recently he spent six months in the Caribbean living and working on a private 59’ Spencer yacht. During this time he traveled to the Dominican Republic, Antigua, and back to St. Thomas chasing blue marlin. He worked as a mate on the Da Bait which released over 100 blue marlin in the Atlantic that year. He has since moved back to Jacksonville, FL to start his own charter business and continue his dream of putting people on a fish of their lifetime.
